Bollywood : The Indian Hindi Film Industry
Another name for Mumbai-based Hindi language film industry is Bollywood. Today Bollywood has been accepted as the world’s movie capital. It has its entry in the Oxford English Dictionary. Bollywood constitute the broader Indian film industry besides other language films Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Malayalam made in India.
Bollywood produces the largest number of films in the world. Daily approximately 14 million Indians go to the movies. It is a strong part of popular culture of Indians, the Indian subcontinent, Middle East, parts of Africa, parts of Southeast Asia and the South Asian diaspora worldwide.
Bollywood attracts thousands of aspiring actors and actresses, models, beauty contestants, television actors, theatre actors and common people. They come to Mumbai to try their luck in Bollywood to become a star. Bollywood employs more than 6 million people from all over India.

Bollywood has many clans, industry connections are, however, no guarantee of a successful career. Example, Rajesh Khanna was a superstar in his days but his daughters Twinkle Khanna, Rinke Khanna, did not get much success.
